JWBC 3rd Annual Leadership Awards

Jacksonville Women’s Business Center is hosting the third annual Leadership Awards on Thursday, Aug. 22 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the JAX Chamber, 3 Independent Dr. Join us for an exciting conversation about the future state of entrepreneurship, presentation of leadership awards and recognition of the ATHENAPowerLink graduates and volunteers. Financial Matters – Six-week Workshop Series

 Dates: Wednesdays, July 24 through August 28, 2019                                Time: 9:00am to Noon

The program empowers entrepreneurs to make an informed financial decisions about their business,  through an in-depth look at all aspects of business financials: reading and understanding financial reports, risk management, avoiding fraud, budgeting, pricing, insurance needs, small business banker relationships, basics for accessing capital, accepting merchant cards and a 3-hour QuickBooks class..

Tax Law Workshop: New Tax Rules and Law Changes 2019

 Dates: Tuesday, August 20, 2019                                   Time: 9:00am to Noon

While the journey to enacting major U.S. tax law ended with the signing of H.R. 1— originally known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA)—in December 2017, the implementation road carries on. The law generated some of the most sweeping changes to the Federal Tax Code in several decades and changes continue to occur affecting 2019 tax filing.

Mark Patrick, CPA and founder of Patrick & Raines CPAs has more than four decades of experience in tax planning. He will present an information packed session on the latest of tax law implementation and how they will affect your business. Learn how to make filing your 2019 tax return easier, avoid penalties and save money in the process.
